At AppleBerry Co, we’re passionate about helping children aged 3 to 5 build the skills they need for a confident start to school. Located in beautiful Moffat Beach, our home-based learning sessions focus on creating a supportive and fun environment for your child to thrive.

Meet Michelle Cavalier

Led by Michelle Cavalier, a passionate primary school teacher with over 20 years of experience, we tailor each session to meet the unique needs of every child, fostering growth and joy in learning.

What we do

We offer small group classes
(a maximum of 5 children) that cover:

Pre-reading skills

Our pre-reading sessions introduce children to the building blocks of literacy. Through engaging activities, we focus on letter sounds, alphabet recognition, and phonics to develop strong early reading foundations. Children will gain confidence in recognizing and sounding out letters, paving the way for a smooth transition into reading.

Pre-Writing

We help little hands prepare for writing with fun, hands-on activities that build fine motor skills and handwriting techniques. Children learn pencil control, letter formation, and other essential skills to express their creativity and ideas through writing.

Oral language

Our oral language sessions encourage communication, vocabulary growth, and storytelling. Through games and activities, children practice recounting stories, building comprehension, and learning how to confidently express themselves in a group setting.

Numeracy

These sessions make math fun and accessible for young learners. We introduce foundational concepts such as number recognition, counting, sorting, and shapes. Interactive and playful methods ensure children develop a positive relationship with numbers.

Social & emotional development

We nurture emotional intelligence and resilience through activities designed to build confidence and teach emotional regulation. By fostering positive peer interactions, children develop skills that help them adapt to new environments and challenges with ease.
